 Background/Factions - Viridia
IDF (Iskandria Defense Force) is the faction which looks like the more to a standard army : basic troops (Colonial Marines) are leaded by sergeantsheavy weapon teams. They are also helped on the battlefield by specialized units.
Marines are the backbone of the army, they won't make great things but will help you to keep strong points or cover the advance of other troops. Don't forget those Marines riding saurian-like beasts. They're fast but not powerfull and will allow you to rush into a breach opened in ennemy lines or prevent any ennemy fast trooper to do he same.
Amongst elite troppers, you'll find Snipers, Shock Marines (hand-to-hand warriors), Interdict Marines that can land in the back of ennemy troops and Special Forces specialized in ambushes and Short Range fights.
In addition, support units will help Viridian troppers : they can field Heavy Machine Gun, Bazooka, Mortar. Any of these weapon will fin a use in your army and can help dealing with some specific threats, resp. short & medium range anti-personnal and suppressive fire, anti-armour and longe-range anti-personnal weapons.
